3. Bingin – This small break is close to a lot of the other popular spots. You can find a nice tube here when the saves are big enough. It can get crowded like many of the other hot spots. A short paddle out gets you to this prime location.
4. Padang Padang – Only experts should attempt this very hollow wave known as the Bali Pipeline. The waves here can be very large in combination with reefs and undertows making it one of the most dangerous spots in Bali. There are many surf competitions here to take advantage of this epic break.
5. Medewi – If you get tired of the crowded breaks and surfers dropping in on you, head to Medewi Beach in the more remote, western part of Bali. This is probably what Bali was like in the earlier days before it became overrun with tourists. Bring your reef boots for the very sharp rocks. And don’t forget to bring along some other forms of entertainment, because there is almost nothing else out here but sand and waves.
